Midtown Manhattan can be so overwhelming with details that sometimes the simplest of images go unseen. The crisp detail of the American flag proudly mounted on an equally detailed marbled building in Midtown Manhattan struck a chord with me as I pulled the camera to my eye. I love the contrast and life-like quality that the Zeiss 135mm lens gave to this photograph, and the simple tilted composition makes it a little more interesting and artistic. This would make a wonderful framed piece in the office or in a patriotic library.
