Wonderfully detailed B&W photo of a summertime marina full of docked boats in Noank, CT. This is a great nautical scene that would make a stunning gallery-style print to display in the home of anyone who treasures boating. I would recommend a medium size print for this particular image, perhaps 16×20, and a simple white frame, white mat for best display. Taken with a Zeiss 35mm f1.4 Distagon lens and a Canon 5D Mark III camera.

This photo is in celebration of the 2014 Sochi Olympics and all the athletes who participated. Taken in Rockerfeller Center New York with a Zeiss 135mm Apo Sonnar lens, which is one of my favorite performers in terms of color accuracy and vibrance. The evening light provided all the contrast to make this image stand out as a recognizable scene to any native New Yorker.

The latest February snowstorm gave New Yorkers some of the wettest, heaviest snow of the season, and the branches of this tree are excited for it to stop. I love the cold color tones in this photo, and slightly out of focus footprints in the background that make the image interesting without taking away from the snowfall centerpiece. The light and contrast on the tree is marvelous, but the thought of this storm makes me wish for a ‘fireplace’. Taken with a Zeiss 135mm f2 Apo Sonnar ZE mount lens, 15 second exposure, f/2.8, tripod.

TGIF! Friday is finally here, and this image is probably on everyone’s mind already.
Wine glasses are one of the first things I photographed when I was first learning how to use a DSLR camera, so even though this image was taken recently, it is still a little nostalgic for me. I love the contrasty detail in the reflections. I love the mirror-like transparency through three rows of hanging glasses. And I love the hints of soft blue and purple out of focus in the background. This photograph is a perfect piece for a dining room, a wine cellar, or a restaurant. It would look stunning in a simple gallery frame.

The overhead gallery style lighting shone just right on this sculpture of a hand poised in a calming meditative pose. This image would be perfect for a medium sized print or canvas in an entryway, workout room, or a yoga studio.

A wonderful moment seen in Madison Square Park on a gorgeous sunny afternoon… a young couple taking a moment to block out their surroundings and enjoy an impromptu dance to a piano man set up behind them. The look on her face says it all, and the off-center composition gives you a sense of being in the moment, standing off to the side, and letting them enjoy their time together.
